2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1½ tsp. baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp grated orange peel
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup orange juice
2 eggs beaten
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cup coarsely chopped cranberries or crasins
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Directions:

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, baking soda, ginger, salt, and orange peel.
Cut in shortening until crumbling. Stir in OJ, eggs, and vanilla until moistened. Fold in cranberries and nuts.
Fill 18 greased or paper lined muffin cups two- thirds full. Bake at 375º for 18-20 minutes. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing them to wire racks. Serve warm. Recipe courtesy of Taste of Home Magazine. Yummy!
