2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
4 Tbsps. (heaping) cocoa powder
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Icing:
4 tbsp (heaping) cocoa powder
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
6 tbsp milk
2 cups (16 oz) powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Spray 15x10x1” (jelly roll pan) baking pan. Combine flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl; set aside.
In a 2 qt. saucepan bring butter, cocoa, and water to a boil, stirring. Pour over flour mixture; stir until well mixed. Add buttermilk, eggs, cinnamon, baking soda and vanilla; stir until well blended. Pour into pan spreading evenly. Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
FOR THE ICING:
Meanwhile, in another 2 qt sauce pan, heat butter, cocoa powder, milk to simmering. Remove from heat, beat in powdered sugar and vanilla, whisk until smooth. Stir in heaping cup of nuts. Pour over hot cake. Cool completely with before cutting, about 1 hour. Serves 16.
