Ingredients:  
3 eggs: Beat in mixing bowl until light:
Combine:
1 3/4 c sugar
2 teaspoons flour
1 teaspoon cornmeal
pinch salt

Beat this mixture into the beaten eggs.

Blend in:
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter or margarine

Directions:

Pour it all into:
9-inch pastry-lined pie pan (Partially bake in advance at 450 degrees for 5 minutes)
Now, bake pie at 350 degrees 45 to 50 minutes, or until set.

My Dad and I have always loved Chess Pie. This recipe has very little lemon in it; so if you like the "bite" of lemon chess, this is probably not the one you're thinking of.
