Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 cube steaks (tenderized round steak)
Crisco
1 egg
2/3 cup milk
1 tsp Tabasco sauce
1 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Mix last 5 ingredients in a large bowl. in a separate bowl, mix egg, milk, and tabasco.

Heat Crisco in a large skillet by dropping in large spoonfuls until it is 1/2 inch deep in the skillet (oil is hot enough to fry steaks when you can put a drop of water in the oil and it pops).

Roll the steaks in the flour mix, then into the egg mix, then once again in the flour mix. fry the steaks until golden brown on both sides, then cover and turn heat to low, cooking another 3-5 minutes till they are cooked through. set the steaks on a platter covered with paper towels (helps drain the oil).

GRAVY

Save about 1/4 cup oil and the crumbs in the skillet. Add 1/4 cup of the leftover flour mix and 1 1/2 cups milk on medium heat. Stir constantly (i like to use an old fashion potato masher, helps un-lump the gravy and covers a lotta territory at the same time). You may add more salt and pepper to taste. When it’s thick as you want it, remove from heat and cover steaks with it! Ring the dinner bell.
