7 lbs. cucumbers
1 c. lime
1 bottle red food coloring
1 Tbsp. alum
2 c. vinegar
10 c. sugar
8 cinnamon sticks
1 pkg. red hots candy (lb)

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and seed cucumbers. Soak in 1 cup lime and 1 gallon water for 24 hours. Wash and then soak covered with ice water for 3 hours. Mix vinegar, red coloring, alum and enough water to cover. Pour over cucumbers and let stand for 24 hours. Pour off uice and bring to a boil. Pour back over cucumbers in jar and seal.
