3 c. sugar
1 pinch of salt
2 c. Crisco
10 whole eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 sm can crushed pineapple,drained (reserve juice)

Glaze:
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. butter
reserved pineapple juice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening thoroughly. Add flour, 1 cup at a time. Add eggs, 3 at a time until all eggs are added. Add salt. Stir in pineapple with a spatula. Pour in greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 300º for 1 1/2 hours.

Glaze: Cook until thick when dropped from a spoon. Spread over hot cake using a pastry brush.
