2 lbs. boneless stew meat, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/3 C. butter
1 lrg. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 T. paprika
1 t. salt
1/2 C. water
2 T. flour or 1 T. corn starch
1 C. sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in Dutch oven; add onion and garlic, cook til soft, not brown.

Remove onion and garlic, set aside; brown meat in Dutch oven.

Return onion, garlic; add paprika, salt and water. Simmer, covered, 1 1/2 - 2 hrs., adding more water if necessary.

Combine flour and sour cream. Add to meat. Cook til smooth and thickened.

Serve over hot, buttered noodles.

An easy to prepare and very reliable comfort food. My family loves this recipe so much that they requested that we substitute our traditional Christmas dinner with this dish.

NOTE: You can also cook the meat in the crock pot after sauteeing veggies and then browning the meat in a skillet.
