1 - 2 Cups Minute Rice

12 oz can of corn and its liquid (I frequently use a 15 oz. can and drain the liquid)

1 1/2 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. pepper

1 can tomato sauce (15 oz can)

3/4 cup water

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 pound raw ground beef, crumbled

4 strips bacon cut in half crosswise

Layer following ingredients in greased 2 quart baking dish in order listed below:

1 - 2 Cups Minute Rice

12 oz can of corn and its liquid (I frequently use a 15 oz. can and drain the liquid)

1 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. pepper

1/2 can tomato sauce

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 pound raw ground beef, crumbled

1/2 tsp salt

pepper to taste

remaining tomato sauce

1/4 cup water

4 strips bacon cut in half crosswise--cover as much of ground meat as possible with bacon

Bake covered @ 350º f. for 1 hour. Uncover and cook additional 15 mins or til bacon is done.

This very different recipe is the PERFECT winter food, almost a one dish meal...just add a green
veggie. I take this often for sick friends and ALWAYS the recipe is demanded. Kids love it!
