1 cup shortening
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2.25 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1.5 cups m&ms or choc chips

Directions:
Directions:
cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. in another bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, and salt. add dry ingredients to the sugar-egg mixture. blend well. stir in m&ms or choc chips. drop onto ungreased cookie sheet. cook at 375 for 10 min.
