1/4 lb. butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup finely chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Blend butter, sugar and salt. Sift and measure flour. Add flour, vanilla and nuts. Mix well; will be stiff and crumbly. Mold to size of a walnut. Place 1/2 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 30 minutes ast 300º. Cool. Roll in powdered sugar.

This are similar to Mexican wedding cakes but better, in my opinion. My mom made these for Christmas for as long as I can remember. This recipe came from one of the older saints in the Baltimore First Church of God and has been a favorite in our family.
