1 stick soft butter
2 T. sugar
1 c. flour
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1 T. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. powdered sugar, sifted

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together all ingredients and roll dough into small balls, about the size of a nickel.

Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 F. for 20-25 minutes or until light brown on the bottom. Cool on a wire rack.

Wait until the cookies are completely cool before rolling in powdered sugar. Makes 30 cookies.

I usually double this recipe because they add a festive touch to the Christmas cookie platter and are good all Winter long.
