1/2 cup white rice
2 cups water
1 cup half-and-half cream
1 egg, beated
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsps. raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cook rice in water in top of double boiler for 40 minutes or until water absorbed. Add cream and egg and stir often so won't stick to pan; stir until thickened. Cool some, add vanilla and raisins. Serve warm, or chilled. Can serve with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg.
