1 lb fresh or frozen broccoli
3 c. Chicken Broth (or 3C. water plus 3 bouillion cubes)
1/2 c chopped onion
Dash of garlic salt
1/2 tsp Basil
1 tsp Parsely Flakes
1/2 tsp salt
1 c chopped celery
1/2 c butter 1/2 c flour
2 c milk (or half & half)
8 oz cream cheese
1 c shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Bring chicken broth to boil, add broccoli, and return to boil. Reduce heat & simmer 1 hour. Add other vegetables and seasonings, continue to cook 30 more minutes. Make a white sauce by melting butter and stir in flour, then whisk in half & half and stir until smooth. Cut Cream cheese into chunks and add to broccoli mixture. Serve immediately with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
