Ingredients: 1 1/2 tsp. butter. softened, 2 c. chocolate chips, 1 can 14oz. sweetened condenced milk, 2 tsp. vanilla extract, 1 c. vanilla or white chips, 3 tsp. peppermint extract, 1 or 2 drops green food coloring

Directions:Line a 9 inch square pan with tin foil. Grease the foil with butter and set aside.In a heavy sauce pan, melt chocolate chips with half the can of sweetened condeced milk, over low heat; cook and stir for about 5 min. or until smooth. Remove from heat. Add vanilla stir for 3 more min. or until creamy. Spread half the mixture into prepared pan. Refridgerate for 10 min. Set remaining chocolate mixture aside. In heavy sauce pan, melt vanilla chips and remaining sweetened condenced milk over low heat; cook and stir about 5 min. until creamy(mixture will be thick0 Remove from heat. Add peppermint extract and food coloring, stir for 3 more min. or until creamy.Spread evenly over chocolate layer. Refridgerate for 10 min. Heat remaining chocolate layer over low heat, stir until creamy. Spread over peppermint layer. Cover chill over night. Take out of fridge and pull out the tin foil. Cut into 1 inch squares. |
