2 to 3 tablespoons oil
1 c long grain white rice
2 c chicken or beef stock

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly brown the rice in oil in a 1-quart ovenproof saucepan. Bring the stock to a boil and pour over the rice, take caution because this can create a lot of hot steam. Bake covered for 30 to 40 minutes, until rice is tender and fluffy.
