Overnight French Toast Recipe

3 eggs
3/4 c whole milk
2 T sugar
1 t vanilla extract
1/4 t cinnamon
1/8 t baking powder
8 1/2-inch-thick slices french bread
4 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and baking powder. Place bread slices in single layer in large shallow casserole dish. Pour egg mixture over bread, turn to coat evenly. Press a piece of wax paper directly on the bread to cover it and refrigerate overnight.

Heat butter over medium high heat in skillet or griddle and add bread pieces and cook until golden brown on both sides.
