1 stewing chicken
4 celery ribs, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
4 medium carrots, sliced
1 T chicken bouillon granules

Dumplings:
1 1/2 cups broth from pot
3 c flour
1 t salt
1/2 t baking powder
parsley

Directions:
Directions:
Put chicken and vegetables in dutch oven, cover with water and simmer until tender. Skim fat and add water to equal 3 quarts. Remove chicken and debone and return chicken meat to pot.

To make dumplings: combine flour, salt and baking powder. Add broth to make a stiff dough. Divide into 1/3's and let rest 15 minutes. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into 2 inch squares, cook in simmering broth covered for 5-7 minutes.
