11/2 lbs fresh rhubarb
1/2 cup water
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 to 2/3 cup granulated sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Wash rhubarb; cut off root and leaf ends; cut into 1" or 2" pieces, without peeling. In saucepan, combine all ingredients; simmer, covered, 10 minutes or until tender, stirring gently once or twice. Refrigerate.

You can add 1 pint halved, hulled strawberries. Use 3/4 cup sugar instead of smaller amount.
