1 c. butter, softened
2 c. flour (less 2 tablespoons)
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
3/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. cardamom
pinch of salt
1 c. confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except 1/4 cup of the confectioners' sugar. Mix with a spoon, fork or fingers. Roll into 1" balls and place 2" apart on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Remove immediately from the cookie sheet. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar just before serving. These will keep in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks (but they generally don't last long at all because they're so delicious!).
