1 pint cherry tomatoes (whole)
coarse salt
chilled vodka

Chill vodka in freezer. Blanch tomatoes (boil a small pan of water and dip tomatoes for 1 minute in boiling water). Then plunge them in a bowl of water with ice cubes. Peel skins. Place tomatoes in a shallow dish and chill. At serving time - pour vodka over tomatoes. Put a small dish of coarse salt on the side with toothpicks. Spear tomatoes and dip in salt. These make an excellent party hors d'oeuvres. Tastes like a fresh bloody Mary.
