2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 c shortening
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 c bananas, very ripe and mashed
1 tbsp vinegar + milk to make 1/2 c

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Cream shortening, blend in sugar, and add eggs one at a time. Beat until fluffy. Add flour mixture alternately with bananas and liquid. Beat well after each addition. Turn into greased loaf pan and bake at 350º for 60-70 minutes. Remove and cool for several hours before slicing. Wrap left over bread in plastic wrap.
