Pecan Cranberry Pie Recipe

1 9" pie shell
1 c. cranberries, cut in half
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. dark Karo syrup
2/3 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. melted butter
dash salt
1 t. vanilla
1 1/2 c. whole pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Pour cranberries into pie shell. Mix eggs, syrup, sugar, melted butter, salt & vanilla. Pour over cranberries. Lay pecans (try to get ones that are not broken) in a circle starting at the edge and work in toward center of pie. Very pretty! Cover edges with foil until last 5 min. Bake 325 degrees for 50-55 min.

I get great compliments with this pie. Fritz likes it better than regular pecan pie. The tartness of the cranberries cuts the sweetness of the filling.
