2 C Flour
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 C. mashed ripe banana
1/2 C. buttermilk
1/2 C. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl combine flour, sugar,baking powder, baking soda, and 1/2 tsp salt. Add banana, buttermilk, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed till combined. Beat on medium speed for three minutes. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured round cake pans, bake in oven 350 for 30 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clear. Cool on rack 10 minutes remove from pan and cool on rack.
