Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 pound ground meat
1 cup corn meal
1 can tomatoes
1 garlic clove
4 c. water
1 green pepper (chopped)
1 tsp. salt
1 onion (chopped)
1 T. fat
chili powder

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the onion, garlic and bell pepper in the fat. Add the ground meat and brown. Add tomatoes and seasonings. Cook until meat is tender. While this mixture is cooking, prepare a corn meal mush in the upper part of a double boiler by slowly adding the corn meal to the salted boiling water (stirring to prevent sticking). Place over the double boiler and cook about 20 minutes. Line a buttered dish with the corn meal mush and fill with the meat sauce. Add olives if desired and cover the pie with a layer of the corn meal mush. Place in a moderate oven until browned. May cover with cheese if desired. Serve in casserole. This does better if you let it set about an hour before serving (gets more firm).
