"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

"Let's Cook with Gail" was a Christmas present that I received from Grandma Cummins in about 1952. I asked my Mom to write her recipe for Meat Loaf in it and this is the recipe that she wrote. I used the recipe repeatedly over the years before I figured out the recipe tasted much better with my Mom's canned tomatoes.
Enjoy and know that Mom could actually serve 6 kids and two adults from this recipe. What else was served with Mom's meat loaf. Baked potatoes with creamed peas and a tossed salad. It was a favorite! Still is! Enjoy! Auntie Dianne
