2 eggs 2 c. sugar 1 c. molassas 1 c. boiling water 1 c. lard (not crisco) 1 tsp. lemon extract 1 1/2 tsp.ginger 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. soda 2 tea. salt 6 1/2 to 7 cups flour
Cream sugar, lard, add eggs and molassas. Add boiling water and lemon extract. Combine all dry ingredients. Mix well to incorporate 6 1/2 cups of the flour. Chill 3 hours or overnight. Roll 1/2 of the dough at a time on a flour covered board or counter. Roll to 1/6". Bake 8-10 minutes at 350º
