3 C all-purpose flour
2 C sugar
1/2 t nutmeg
1/2 t cinnamon
1/2 t cloves
3/4 C butter/margine/shortening
2 C buttermilk
2 t soda soda
1 t salt
1 cup raisins
1/2 C chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place first six ingredients in a large bowl and mix on medium speed until crumbly. Remove and reserve 1/2 C of the misture. To the remainder add buttermilk which has been mixed with soda, salt, raisins and pecans. Mix until thoroughy blended. Pour into a greased 9"x13" baking pan. Sprinkle batter with reserved crumbs. Bake for 1 hour or until cake tests done.
