1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (1.25 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (8 oz.) can refrigerated quick crescent dinner rolls
1 C crushed taco chips
1 (8 oz.) ctn. dairy sour cream
1 C shredded cheddar cheese
Taco toppings as desired (i.e., salsa, shredded lettuce, tomatoes; cut up; onion, chopped; sliced black olives; hot sauce)

Heat oven to 350. In skillet brown ground beef and onion. Drain. Stir in taco seasoning and tomato sauce. Mix well. Unroll crescent roll dough; press onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie pan to form crust. Press to seal perforations. Sprinkle crust with 3/4 C crushed chips. Spread beef mixture over chips. Bake 15 minutes. Add sour cream, then cheese. Top with remaining chips. Bake 15 minutes longer, or until crust is brown. While taco pie is baking, prepare bowls of a variety of taco toppings. Serve hot taco pie slice with toppings.
