c. brown sugar firmly packed
1/3 c. chopped nuts
11/2 t. cinnamon
c. butter
11/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
11/2 t. vanilla extract
3 c. flour
11/2 t. baking powder
11/2 t. baking soda
t. salt
11/2 c. sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl combine the brown sugar, chopped nuts, and cinnamon until the mixture is fluffy. Stir in eggs and vanilla until well blended. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, stir it into the sugar and butter mixture alternately with sour cream. Pour a third of the batter into a 9 in. square pan that has been greased and floured. Sprinkle a third of the cinnamon mixture over the batter. Put another third of the batter in the pan, and sprinkle again with the cinnamon mixture. Top that with the batter. You may chose to put the cinnamon mixture on top and can before or after it is baked. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50-60 min. and cool on a wire rack.
