3/4 C shortening
1 C sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 C brown sugar
1 C sour milk or butter milk
1 tsp. soda (added to milk)
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 C flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 C cut up raw apples (peeled)
1/3 C white sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 C chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs. Put soda in milk and add. Add remaining ingredients and mix together. Add topping. Bake @ 350 in a 9x13 pan for 30-35 minutes.
