1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. hot water
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and bananas. Sift flour and baking powder. Dissolve soda in hotwater. Mix dry ingredients with nuts. Add dry ingredients and soda mixture to creamed mixture. Bake at 300 for 45 minutes.
