1 cup hot chocolate
1 shot of peppermint schnapps
dark chocolate sauce
whipped cream (optional)
peppermint stick (optional)
chocolate flakes (optional)
Directions:
Directions:
Make sure cup of hot chocolate has room at the top. Pour in peppermint schnapps and stir well.
If desired, top with whipped cream, swirl with dark chocolate sauce and chocolate flakes. Garnish with peppermint stick.
Multiply ingredients for number of drinks.

I love the Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies and thought that nothing could out do their combination of mint and chocolate. However, one rainy evening when I could not decide between a dessert or a drink, my good friend mixed me this treat. I altered it later and found it’s a great fall and winter drink for a rainy day or night!
If you want an extra minty or stiff drink double the schnapps but be warned, it gets really minty!
I recommend using a milk based (diary, soy or rice) hot chocolate.
If you would like to drop the dirty, use a teaspoon of peppermint extract instead of schnapps.
