1/3 cup soft shortening
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
2/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon lemon flavoring
2 ¾ cups sifted four
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together thoroughly the shortening, sugar, egg, honey and lemon flavoring.
Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Stir into the other ingredients.
Chill dough overnight. Roll out thick (1/4 inch). Cut into desired shapes. Place 1 inch apart on lightly greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool and decorate if desired.
