Stuffed Peppers Recipe

4 medium green peppers
1 ¼ cups of steamed white rice
1 lb. of ground beef
¾ cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
1 T of Italian seasoning
1 small chopped onion
1 medium chopped garlic
1 T of water
2 sprigs of chopped parsley
1 large can of tomato sauce
Salt or pepper, to taste

Directions:
Wash and prepare the peppers. Cut off tops and remove seeds and fibrous ribs. Set aside clean peppers and tops. Boil the rice, drain and cool. Place breadcrumbs in large bowl. Mix in seasonings, onion, garlic & parsley. Add ground beef and mix. Add rice & water and mix well.
Pour tomato sauce in a dutch oven pot or large enough pot to hold the four peppers. Sprinkle seasonings in sauce. Use oregano or Italian spice & add some parsley. Add ¼ cup of water to sauce. Stir.
Stuff peppers with prepared stuffing; put tops back on top of stuffed pepper and place each one in standing position in the Pot. Cover and cook about ¾ of an hour or until peppers are tender.
