Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
1 lb. dates, cut up fine
2 C boiling water
2 tsp. baking soda
2 C sugar
2 T butter
2 eggs
3 C flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 3 ingredients and let stand. Mix remaining ingredients with dates and add 1/2 C nuts. Grease and flour pans. Bake @ 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Makes 2 loaves.
