Directions:
In medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 3/4 c. sugar, baking powder, salt and 2 T. cocoa. Stir in milk, vanilla and oil, mixing til smooth. Pour batter into greased 8 or 9" round or square cake pan.
Mix the remaining 3/4 c. sugar with the remaining 1/4 c. cocoa. Sprinkle over the batter. Gently drizzle the hot water over the uncooked batter, do not mix in.
Bake 350 degrees for 40 min. or until top is set. As it bakes the cake will "float" on top of the pudding sauce. Serve the cake hot with some of the hot pudding sauce spooned over the top. Whipped cream or ice cream is a nice addition.
Keeps at room temp 2 days. Reheat in microwave before serving.
