1 pkg white or yellow cake mix
1- 3 ounce flavor Jell-O
1 envelope Dream Whip (2 to 2 ½ cups yield)

Directions:
Bake cake according to package directions. Cool cake for 20 minutes. Poke deep holes through the top of warm cake (still in pan) with a meat fork. Space holes about ½ inch apart.
Prepare Jell-O: Dissolve in ¾ cup boiling water. Add ½ cup cold water. Let cool to room temperature.
Slowly pour or spoon Jell-O over cake, making sure it goes into the holes. Refrigerate while preparing the topping.
Prepare Dream Whip. Frost cake and decorate top with sprinkles or other decorations (optional).
Chill cake until Jell-O sets completely (several hours or over night). Keep any uneaten cake covered and chilled.
