2 1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/4 cup shortening (butter Crisco works well)
1 1/4 cup butter
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
Mix well
5 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tarter
4 tsp soda
salt
1 bag chocolate chips

Directions:

Roll into balls
Roll in white sugar
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes
Freezes well.
