5 slices white bread
1/2 lb. New York Sharp Cheddar Cheese
3 eggs - dash in caynne/red pepper
2 c. milk
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cut crust off bread, buter bread and cut in 9 or 10 cubes per slice. Line bottom of greased casserole with bread cubes. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Alternate layers ending with cheese on top. Beat eggs. Combine with milk, mustard, salt and caynne. Pour over bread and sheese. Let stand in refrigerator at lease 3 hrs., but preferred overnight. Cool 45 min to 1 hour uncovereds at 350º. Bake in pan of water. Takes at least a good hour.
