1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
#2 can pineapple slices
2 T. pineapple syrup
Mariscino cherries
1 layer cake, prepared according to directions

Directions:
In 9" oven proof skillet or cake pan (heart shaped, if desired), melt butter. Stir in brown sugar & pineapple syrup. Arrange slices & cherries in melted mixture. Pour 1 layer's worth of cake batter over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min. Cool 10 min. & invert on plate
