"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Holiday Wreath Cookies, by Sherry Harbal, is from Meixner Family Cookbook,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
30 large marshmallows 1 tsp. vanilla Green or red food coloring 1/2 c. butter 3 c. cornflakes
Melt butter and marshmallows together; remove from heat. Add vanilla and cornflakes. Add food coloring before cornflakes. Stir carefully so as not to crush. Form mixture into a small wreath. Decorate green with red cinnamon candies. Cookies will harden in a couple of days.
We made this recipe at Christmas time. It was always interesting trying to get the wreaths formed right.
