3 lbs. beef stew meat, cut into cubes
1 16 oz. can (drained) each of:
Sliced carrots, small onions, green beans, peas, potatoes
1 16 oz. can of whole tomatoes, do not drain
1 cup or can of beef bouillon
¼ cup quick cook tapioca
1 heaping T brown sugar
½ cup bread crumbs
1 bay leaf
½ cup dry white wine

Dip meat cubes in bread crumbs and brown in oil. Place in crock pot with all the other ingredients and cover. Cook for several hours stirring occasionally.

Fresh vegetables can be substituted for canned.

When I was growing up, mom would throw this in the crock pot in the morning before we hit the slopes. After skiing all day, we would come back exhausted to this great hot instant dinner. I still make it all the time, especially on cold rainy days.
