2 cups all purpose flour
4 tsp baking powder
3 tsp sugar
½ tsp salt
½ cup shortening
1 egg
2/3 cup milk
1 T honey

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine the egg, milk and honey; stir in to flour mixture just until combined. Turn onto a floured surface; knead 8 – 10 times. Roll out to ½ inch thickness. Cut with a floured 2 ½ inch biscuit cutter. Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 425° for 10 -12 minutes or until golden brown. Serves 10
