1 pt. strawberries
1 1/2 cups pink rhubarb 1" lengths
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup sifted flour
1 tspn. baking powder
1/8 tspn. salt
1/4 cup butter
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbspns. milk
1/4 tspn. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix berries, rhubarb, & 2/3 cup sugar in 10 x 6 glass dish. Sift together baking powder, flour, & salt. Cut in butter until mix is in fine crumbs. Beat egg & sugar until thick & ivory color. Beat in milk & vanilla. Fold into flour mix but do not beat smooth. Pour over fruit & spread it. Bake in 375 deg. for 35-45 minutes. Place on wire rack to cool 5-10minutes. Serve hot with unsweetened whip cream - 6 servings. Bake until topping is through.
