3 1/2 cups flour - sifted
2 cups sugar
1 cup raisins
2 eggs
1 tsp. ground cloves
2 1/2 cups applesauce
2/3 cup shortening
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 scant tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Grease and flour a 9 x 13 pan. Cream shortening & sugar. Slowly add eggs, applesauce, Sift all dry ingredients. and add to creamed mixture. Bake 1 hour at 300º.
