1 (1 1/2 lb) flank steak
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 t. red wine vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
salt
pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Score steak on both sides in 1 1/2 inch squares. Set steak in a deep bowl. Combine oil, vinegar and garlic; pour over meat and marinate 3 hours in refrigerator turning once. Remove meat from marinade and place on a lightly greased rack in the broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from heat for 4 to 5 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and turn. Broil and additional 4 to 5 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. To serve, slice across grain into thin slices.
