40 caramels
6 T. evaporated milk
1 c. flour
1 c. quick cook oatmeal
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter
1 - 6oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In a double broiler melt caramels with evaporated milk. In a separate bowl combine flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and butter (We like to make 1 ½ times the crust). Blend well. Press half of mix into a 9 X 13 pan and bake for 10 min. Remove from oven and sprinkle crust with chocolate chips and nuts and then spread caramel on top. Top with remaining flour mixture. Press lightly, and bake for another 15 minutes.
