1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Heat oven to 400º. Mix butter, 1/2 c. powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix in flour and salt until dough holds together.

Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Bake until set but not brown (the bottoms should just barely look golden) about 10 minutes.

Roll in powdered sugar while warm; cool. Roll in powdered sugar again.

These are a family favorite every year. If no other Christmas cookies are made, that is fine with us. These are simple and are melt in your mouth yum!
