2 cups shortening
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 level tsp. baking soda
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar and then beat in the eggs. Sift together the soda, flour and salt. Add to wet ingredients. Add the nuts. Roll out in long rolls. Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate (may be frozen). Cut thin and bake in 350º oven in slightly greased cookie sheet until lightly browned.
