2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground sausage (optional)
1 white onion, finely chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. sage
1/2 tsp. white pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
3 Tbs. ketchup
1 cup dry bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the above ingredients together. Cover with a paper towel and put in the microwave for 20 minutes for powerful microwave or 25 minutes for a less powerful microwave. While that is in the microwave, mix 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup ketchup and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg together until sugar is dissolved; spread over meat loaf and put in the microwave for 5 minutes longer, uncovered.
